豉油王抄麺 or literally in English, “soy sauce yellow chow mein” is a popular Chinese dish that a lot of people usually order to complement congee. But not to say, that it can’t be ordered by itself either. Most of the ingredients are in the title already. To your surprise, this is actually a super duper simple recipe to make.
Video after the jump.
– yellow noodles
– bean sprouts
– dark soy sauce
– sesame seeds
0.) Boil dry noodles in a pot of boiling water first. A few seconds is all it takes. Then I like to drain and rinse them in cold water.
1.) Heat oil in a pan.
2.) Put noodles into pan with some soy sauce and toss a few times.
3.) Add in the bean sprouts. Toss then cover and let the sprouts cook for a bit.
4.) Then throw some scallions on top.
5.) Sprinkle a few sesame seeds and voila! You have yourself “soy sauce yellow chow mein.” Mmm nom nom nom!
