Click Click! 028: Happy Halloween! Rule of Thirds…

Every Wednesday of the week, I’ll share with you my moments of Photography in this Blog: “Click Click!”
-Just a simple guy with a camera

In photo composition, there is one very basic rule: the rule of thirds.

Only use this rule as a guideline. The subject tends to be more interesting to the viewer if the subject lands in any one of the intersections in the photo. Again, this is not a rule, but a guidelines. Shooting photos in my opinion is about creativity. Unleash your every possible imagination.

After the break, I will give you a run-down of my thought process, and how to shoot in the thirds.

1. With today’s technology, a lot of cameras: DSLR, point and shoot, and even my camera can display the tic tac toe grid line on its LCD. Or if you are shooting thru the viewfinder, you really have to visualize that 9 square box in your head.

2. Or, in the very least, if you decided to take a break and not worry about thirds, it’s so OK.  Just crop the photo so it lands right at the thirds as I did with the photo above.

By the way, Happy Halloween. Stay Sweet.
