Every Wednesday of the week, I’ll share with you my moments of Photography in this Blog: “Click Click!”
-Just a simple guy with a camera
Well, this week we have quite a simple challenge to fulfill. Therefore, without wasting any more time. This week, I went to the “Land of the Rising Sun”, Japan. Behold, I attended the 30th year anniversary event of the Gundam franchise and took a photo of the 18 meter tall (1:1 scale) of Gundam. I am a fan in the World of Gundam. I love watching the shows and even building those 1/60 (hopefully the right scale) Gundam plastic models. My earliest memory of watching Gundam is probably from the late 80’s when all I knew was “pew pew pew” and many things blow up. Probably Gundam Wing.
In reality, no, I wasn’t in Japan, however I wished I was there. The Gundam statue also yielded a glowing light beam. Oh yeah, now we’re talking. Here’s the link if interested. 1/1 Gundam. Opps, I should be back to the main topic now.
Anyways, there’s no right or wrong in photography. The camera is just like the paintbrush on the canvas. The painting expresses a story or the feeling of the artist at that moment in time.
Similarly, “Taller than You” to me means pointing your camera at 45 degrees or higher, and typically the subject should fill the entire window.
I like the Ferris Wheel photo since it has elements of repeating patterns, and is surely taller than me.
Hey, give it a shot, here’s next week’s photo challenge for you: No Flash + Indoor
