Click Click! 006: Those Wedding Pictures…

Every Wednesday of the week, I’ll share with you my moments of Photography in this Blog: “Click Click!”
-Just a simple guy with a camera

Just this past weekend, I have attended one of my good friend’s wedding. What a weekend of laughter, food, and fun. What was amazing is sometimes, it takes a wedding to bring your distant friends together. What a nostalgic feeling?

Anyways, somehow I always find this or that to be difficult. Perhaps when you’re learning something, everything is hard.  In my opinion, shooting wedding photography makes it difficult for you to actually enjoy the wedding.  For a photographer, there are these moments that you must capture: the first dance, the first kiss, the cutting of the cake,  and the toast. I find myself a few occasions while I was cutting a steak or forking a lobster, I switched gears, and ran like a madman to the newly weds just to take that special kiss or dance.

Well, luckily I was able to enjoy my evening banquet, since I have a secret weapon.

I had an backup photographer whom took photos while I was managing my steak, or drinking the champagne, or telling a story of the good old days.  Legna is a natural photographer with great composition. Most of all the wedding photos are taken by her.

Enough said, I like this blog’s feature photo above for a number of reasons. You gotta adventurous while shooting. Try different speeds, forms, and compositions. This was not photoshoped or anything. Actually the photo was taken as is.  While others may view this photo as a flaw, but I like it for the smooth blend of the kiss, and dance. While I was talking to my co-worker about my car shooting, he asked “Did you try to adventure any other shutter speed other than 1/60?” I said, “No, I wanted to focus on getting the background blurred as much as possible.”  All photos are good. The question is “Is this what you really wanted?”

2) When shooting Wedding photos, you got to go for the details. The Wedding Ceremony and the Banquet took months and months in planning. Wedding photos pay a lot of attention into the rings, rose petals, the groomsmen, maid of honor, the wedding dress, friends, family and most importantly the newly weds. Indeed it is an very important event for the couple.

How can a wedding be a wedding without the traditional “Bridal Bouquet Toss“. So to all those single ladies out there, we know someone you’ll surely be interested in: the Single Guy of our Podcast.

I’m signing off this week, and for next week, the subject is what we munch on daily: FOOD.
